TURİZMİN SESİ-BORA ÖZGEN
Sempozyum, Erik Cohen, Jafar Jafari, Don Hawkins, Pauline Sheldon and Chris Cooper gibi değerli akademisyenleri bir araya getirecektir.“2012 UNWTO Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Tourism” ödüllerinin verileceği toplantılardan biri olan sempozyumda, turizmde kuramsal yaklaşımların gelişimi ve uygulama açısından işlevlerini ele alınacaktır.
Prestijli “UNWTO Ulysses Prize for Excellence in the Creation and Dissemination of Knowledge in Tourism” ödülünün bu yılki sahibi Prof. Erik Cohen, sempozyum da bir akademik sunum yapacaktır. UNWTO Ulysses ödülü, turizmde yenilikçi bilginin oluşturulmasına ve yaygınlaştırılmasına olağanüstü katkılarından dolayı her yıl seçkin bir akademisyene verilmektedir.
Sempozyum süresinde gerçekleştirilecek panele, uluslararası akademi dünyasınca tanınan değerli akademisyenler Prof. Don Hawkins, Prof. Jafar Jafari, Prof. Pauline Sheldon ve Prof. Chris Cooper panelist olarak katılacaklardır.

We are pleased to invite you to the UNWTO Knowledge Network Symposium that will take place at Boğaziçi University (Albert Long Hall, South Campus, Istanbul) on Friday 16th of November from 14.30 h to 17:45 h. The symposium will be bringing together World renowned academicians such as Erik Cohen, Jafar Jafari, Don Hawkins, Pauline Sheldon and Chris Cooper.
Co-organized by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and Boğaziçi University, an Affiliate Member of UNWTO, the Symposium will feature a milestone in bridging the theoretical and practical dimensions of tourism showcased by the winners of the 2012 UNWTO Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Tourism.
Particularly, the Symposium includes a lecture from Prof. Erik Cohen, this year’s winner of the prestigious UNWTO Ulysses Prize for Excellence in the Creation and Dissemination of Knowledge in Tourism. The UNWTO Ulysses Prize is given every year to a distinguished scholar for his/her outstanding contribution to create and disseminate innovative knowledge in tourism.
In addition to the UNWTO Ulysses Prize lecture, the Symposium will include a panel discussion from world renowned academicians such as Prof. Don Hawkins, Prof. Jafar Jafari, Prof. Pauline Sheldon and Prof. Chris Cooper.
