The people are extremely friendly and relaxed. You immediately feel adopted. Voice of Tourism: What do you think about German-Turkish friendship? Horst Hamann : Very important. In my hometown Mannheim we have a long and friendly history, going back at least 45 years. That's 3 - 4 generations. I have Turkish friends who speak cleaner German than myself.
